帛紗 Fukusa

茶器や茶杓を清める帛紗はいつもきれいなものを使用したいですね。
アクロンで形を崩さないように押し洗い、お茶の汚れはやさしくブラシで洗い、乾ききらないうちにアイロンで形を整えれば、元の風合いを保ち、ほとんど縮まずにきれいになりました♪

Fukusa is square silk cloth for purifying utensils in the tea ceremony.
I always try to use immaculate one.
It can wash by hand.

建国記念日 National Foundation Day

雪化粧の椿　Canellia with snow

 『建国記念日』、由来は初代神武天皇が即位した日のようです。
薄っすら積もった雪が外の景色を照らしています♪

Natuonal Foundation Day derives from the day that the first emperor Jinmu assumed the throne.
A light fall of snow lights out of window.

サブレとお抹茶 Cookie and Maccha

 昨日、丸の内で購入したエシレの『サブレ１８９４』は上品な風味でお抹茶とも合います♪

ECHIRE cookie I bought yesterday in Marunouchi Tokyo has fine flavor and goes well with Maccha green tea.

かっぱ橋道具街 Kappabashi Dougu Street

浅草近くにある、調理道具や食器などのお店が軒を連ねる『かっぱ橋道具街』は、下町風情が溢れ、純喫茶のコーヒー（一杯３５０円）で心も体もお財布までも癒されます♪
因みに、最近余り目にしない『純喫茶』とは、アルコールを出さない喫茶店の意味のようです。

Many shops deal with kitchen implement, tableware and etc stand side by side at Kappabashi Dougu Street close to Asakusa in downtown.
A cup of coffee(350yen) soothes the mind, the body and also the wallet at the ordinary coffee shop there.

椿 Camellia

茶花になる花を育てようと思い、農協で椿を購入しました。
地元横浜市都筑区で品種登録された、『蓬莱白』という白くて清楚な花です。
茶花は、床の間に楚々と飾ると、その美しさがより一層際立ちます。
千利休が秀吉を招いた「朝顔の茶会」で示した美意識、一面に咲く朝顔の美しさとは違う、一輪であるがゆえに際立つ美しさですね♪

I bought a white camellia to decorate in the tea room.
The flower in the tea room is decorated simply, and for that reason,
 its beauty stands out.
It may be a sort of Japanese aesthetic !

福茶 Fuku-cha tea

旧家の茶室で茶の湯を行った後、当主が『福茶』を作ってくださいました。

節分の日に無病息災を願いいただくそうです。

当家では福豆を煎り、梅干を加え、熱い湯を入れていただきます。香ばしいかおりと梅のお味が美味でありました♪

I tried "Fuku-cha" is a kind of tea after the tea ceremony.

The old family drink it on Setsubun ( the traditional end of winter) wishing for good health.

Its ingredients are roasted soybeans, pickled plum and hot water.Mmm!
