Sugamo is popular for elderly people and is known for Harajyuku of Grandmother♪

やっと咲きました!
去年より1ヶ月半遅く、桜の開花宣言と一緒になりました♪
Finally camellia flowered♪♪♪
It’s named Hourai camellia.
It started blooming one and a half month later than last year.
And also cherry-blossom viewing has come!!!

啓蟄の翌日 The day after Keichitsu

啓蟄は、冬ごもりしている虫が土中から這い出てくる、春の到来を感じ始める日です。
二十四節気の一つ。

冷たい雨の啓蟄の翌日は、暖かい春の陽気となり、多くの虫たちが目覚めたのでは♪
椿の蕾も開くかな?

 Keichitu is the season when wintering insects come out of winter sleep ( which is one of the twenty‐four divisions in the old Japanese almanac).

The day after Keichitsu had a cold rain is warm, spring weather and many insects will wake up♪
I wonder this camellia flower bloom・・・.

ひな祭り Doll Festival (Girls 'Day)

諸説あるようですが、平安時代(約1000年前)の貴族の子女の遊びごとが起源で、江戸時代に女子の人形遊びと一生の災厄を人形に身代わりさせる祭礼的意味が合わさり、節句として広まったようです。
桃の花と雅なお雛様はほんのりと春の訪れを感じさせます♪

Although there are many views, it seems that has originated from a girl's play of Heian Era nobility about one thousand years ago.
 Then it has spread as the seasonal festival combined with a ritual implication that they transfer their lifelong disaster onto the dolls in Edo Era.
The peach blossoms and the elegant dolls remind me coming of spring♪

霧氷と啓翁桜 Rime on trees & Winter cherry blossoms


山形県蔵王、『霧氷』を咲かせた木々は、ひっそりと美しい。

冬に咲く『啓翁桜』、凍てつく景色が綻びる。

In Zao Yamagata, rime on trees are silent and beautiful.

Keio winter cherry blossoms make frozen landscape melt.

茶の湯 tea ceremony

最も丁寧なお点前 『真の行 台子(だいす)』の室礼(しつらい)

背筋が伸び、気持ちが引き締まります

This decoration is for the politest procedure of the tea ceremony (shin no gyou daisu).

It makes straighten up my back and myself !
